Bundesliga sides Schalke, Hertha Berlin and Werder Bremen will sue the Brazilian and Serbian Football Associations for allowing their players to play in the Olympics.

Bremen's Diego and Schalke's Rafinho played with Brazil while Gojko Kakar participated with Serbia despite the recent CAS ruling allowing the clubs to recall their players.

"We didn't want it to go that far but both countries defied the latest CAS ruling," Schalke's director Andreas Muller told Kicker.

Hertha Berlin sporting manager Dieter Hoeness threatened to sue the Serbian officials if Kakar doesn't show up immediately.

This is while Vincent Kompany will leave Belgium to get back to Hamburg ahead of their league opener next Friday.
