Rafael Benitez has rubbished claims that he is set to step down from Liverpool job in the next few days.
“I don't read headlines on the day of the game, but my commitment is 100 per cent - with the fans, with the players and with the club in general,” the Spaniard told Skysports.com.
Reports in the English press have suggested that the former Valencia boss is on his way out of Anfield because of a poor summer transfers’ campaign.
“I say 100 times my family is happy here. We want to win trophies at this club because it is a massive club,” concluded Benitez.
The Reds manager has identified Aston Villa’s midfielder Gareth Barry as his primary summer target but the board failed to secure his services.
