Zamalek's announcement comes two weeks after Ahli launched their independent satellite channel, the first ever for an Egyptian club.

However, Ahli's quest to broadcast home games exclusively resulted in recent controversy, which mounted when the Reds' league opener with Olympic was not broadcasted on TV.
