Tottenham Hotspur have announced the capturing of duo Roman Pavlyuchenko and Vedran Corluka from Spartak Moscow and Manchester City respectively.

Russia striker Pavlyuchenko, who scored three goals in five games in the EURO 2008 finals, was acquired for ₤14M.

The 26-year-old striker was poised for a move to White Hart Lane since July, and his arrival could instigate Dimitar Berbatov's prospected move to Manchester United.

On the other hand, Croatia defender Corluka, who also played in Austria and Switzerland, will sign a contract with the London club on Monday.

"I am delighted to be here because I am coming to a big club with great players, great ambition," the 22-year-old told Tottenham's official site.

"And also my best friend [Luka Modric] is here so it is a very happy day for me."
