Egyptian striker Ahmed Hossam 'Mido' denied on Tuesday that Premiership side Fulham was among his suitors.
Reports circulated in England on Monday that the former Marseille and Roma ace was about to leave Middlesborough for Fulham.
However, Mido confirmed that he received no offers from Fulham as the transfer deadline loomed.
Mido, who was tipped to join compatriot Amr Zaki at Wigan Athletic, said that his decision to stay at Riverside came down to his talk with coach Gareth Southgate.
The Egyptian international said that Southgate promised him a place in Boro's starting XI, which made him feel "reassured" and in turn pledge his future to the club.
