The cash-rejuvenated City snatched the Brazilian ace from Real Madrid in a last-gasp transfer last week, following Chelsea's failure to reach an agreement with Real.
Ironically, Robinho will make his City debut against Chelsea next weekend in a top-of-the-table Premiership clash at the City of Manchester Stadium.
"It is Real's fault that I did not sign for Chelsea but it is also Chelsea's fault," the 23-year-old winger told The People.
"I don't think they managed it very well. They waited until the last minute and it turned out badly for them.
"My head was at Chelsea but now that is forgotten. I know Scolari is upset with me but these things happen.
"When I play against them I will show that they were wrong not to raise their offer.
"City presented the offer five hours before the deadline and until then I had not been thinking about them at all."
Meanwhile, Manchester United laughed off speculation that Cristiano Ronaldo is targeted by the Citizens, who are reportedly ready to splash £137M for the Portuguese.
