Zamalek interested in Abdul-Aziz (L)
"Zamalek have stepped up their interest following their friendly against Contractors last Sunday," he told FilGoal.com
Zamalek have been looking to land a new left-back as neither Osama Hassan nor Brazilian Ricardo proved their worth this season.
Egyptian teams have lacked the presence of a powerful left-sided player over the past few years.
But Abdul-Aziz and Petrojet's Osama Hassan caught the eyes with some fine displays in the current season.
Reluctant
Although the opportunity to play for Zamalek always appear tempting to modest teams' players, Abdul-Aziz is reluctant to move to the Cairo giants.
"I feel that Zamalek are not serious in their attempts to sign me, he conceded.
"I learned that they also hold talks with Ghazl Mahalla's Mohamed Abdul-Shafi and Ittihad's Farag Shalabi.
"Zamalek are apparently lining me up as a replacement for those players, something which I don't like."
