Inter Milan playmaker Sulley Muntari has been hit by a three-match Serie A ban, following his red card in last weekend's 2-1 win over Catania.

The Ghanaian, was penalized after lashing out at Giacomo Tedesco in the first half of the game at San Siro.

Despite his protests after the game, claiming that Tedesco made the most of the challenge, Muntari was seen guilty of misconduct.

The former Udinese man will sit out the next three games against Torino, Lecce and most importantly the derby clash with AC Milan.
