"Of course we want to win every game, but I'm content with both the result and the performance," Mokhtar told Modern Sport after the game.
Mokhtar said he chose to play the striking partnership of Sayed Hamdi and Hossam Osama instead of Alaa Ibrahim after he felt that the latter wasn’t 100% ready to play.
The former Ahli assistant had the time to advice Masri's coaching staff to cool their temper during games.
"Masri are a very good team and they have a good coach, but the coach's over tension can affect his players."
Meanwhile, Masri coach Hossam Hassan expressed his anger towards the game's referee, claiming that his team deserved a second half penalty kick.
"What's happening to me and my team is simply refereeing terror," said Hassan.
Hassan, who watched the game from the stands as he's serving a six-game touchline ban, added that he is being targeted by referees in every Masri game.
"Why is it accepted when referees make mistakes and it's not when I get angry over decisions sometimes? We should hire foreign referees to help us run our Egyptian League," concluded Hassan.
