Juventus keeper Gianluigi Buffon will miss his team's next two games with a thigh injury, the Turin club announced on their official website on Monday.

The Italian international was stretched off at half time against Cagliari on Sunday, and Scans showed that the player is suffering a thigh contracture and could be out for up to ten days.

The 30-year-old guardian is set to miss Juve's games against Catania and Sampdoria on September 24th and 27th respectively.

Meanwhile, striker David Trezeguet will undergo a knee tendon surgery on Tuesday.

The Frenchman is likely to face an absence spell between three and five months before playing again for Juve.
