"Of course I'm happy to play more matches especially after Robinho joined Manchester City," The Dutch was quoted as saying by Marca on Monday.

Despite the opportunity of being Real's first choice winger, Robben added that the club might want to add another player to cover him in case of injuries or suspensions.

"We have a good team with great quality. We are as good as we were last season but it'd be good if we sign another player for backup."

The former PSV Eindhoven man, who's well known for being fragile to injuries didn’t start in Real's 2-0 win at Racing on Sunday.

"I'd rather rest for one game than get injured and miss two or three weeks," concluded the 24-year-old.
