Manchester City clinched the 25-year old winger from under the nose of Chelsea worth $40m to Real Madrid and a huge £160,000-a-week contract.

"I am grateful for everything Wagner Ribeiro has done for my career up until now, but our working cycle has come to an end," Robinho told Spanish daily Marca.

However it seemed the Brazilian blamed his agent for failing to secure a transfer to Chelsea.

"It is time for us to go our own separate ways and I have new goals to achieve with my new club, Manchester City," he added.

Ribeiro has been under fire from Real Madrid as he has been trying to force a move away from the Bernabeu during all the summer using some inappropriate methods.

Chelsea also blasted him for the transfer's collapse and his shock move to Manchester City on the transfer deadline day.
