Liverpool eased 3-1 past PSV Eindhoven to claim their second straight Champions League victory in Group D.

Dirk Kuyt opened the scoring after four minutes with a low strike from 12 yards, hitting on the rebound after Fernando Torres' volley was blocked by Andreas Isaksson.

Thirty minutes later, Robbie Keane volleyed in the second, finishing off a precise cross by Torres.

The goal of the day came from skipper Steven Gerrard, who launched a rocketing trade-mark freekick to ensure the win 14 minutes from time.

Danny Koevermans grabbed a consolation goal for the Dutch champions two minutes later.

Atletico beat Marseille

In the other group game, Atletico Madrid have also clinched their second win, beating Marseille 2-1 at Vicente Calderon.

Sergio Aguero hit his third goal of the competition after four minutes, when he controlled Maxi Rodriguez's through ball in style, before finishing expertly past Steve Mandanda.

Senegal striker Mamadou Niang leveled the scoring after 16 minutes with a header, but Raul Garcia restored Atletico's lead after six minutes.

Liverpool and Atletico share the summit of the group with six points from two games, before they clash at Calderon later this month.
