The Frenchman was given further three-match ban for improper dissent after receiving his marching orders against Siena last week.

Italian paper Calcio Italia confirmed on Tuesday that sporting judge Gianpaolo Tosel decreed Mexes should miss three matches for “unsporting behavior towards an opponent and for directing serious insults at the officials.”

The news will come as a massive blow for Roma coach Luciano Spaletti who also has defender Cristiano Panucci suspended for the Inter game.
