Zamalek keeper Mohamed Abdul-Monsef rubbished rumors of a personal spat with the club's current first choice guardian Abdul-Wahed Al-Sayed.

After starting the season as Zamalek's number one keeper, Monsef lost his place to Al-Sayed after his abysmal display against ASEC Mimosas in the CAF Champions League.

"There are no rows of whatsoever between me and Sayed," Monsef told FilGoal.com on Thursday.

"When I play I'm fully focused on keeping a clean sheet, and when I'm on the bench I'm fully focused on helping Sayed."

Meanwhile, the former Dina farms goalie said he isn’t worried after losing his national team spot during the recent Djibouti game.

"I knew that if I was called I'd have been second string to Essam Al-Hadari anyway. I'd rather stay at home than being a benchwarmer," added Monsef.
