Middlesbrough, whom Egyptians Ahmed Hossam 'Mido' and Mohamed Shawky play for, lost 5-0 at home to Chelsea in the Premiership game played on Saturday.

The pair started the game for Middlesbrough but unfortunately couldn’t help Middlesbrough avoid the embarrassing loss.

Solomon Kalou netted a brace (14, 53) for Chelsea, and three goals from Juliano Belletti (51), Frank Lampard (63) and Florent Malouda (67) completed the visitors' route at the Riverside.

The game was a one way traffic for Chelsea, and they opened the score as early as the 14th minute when Kalou capitalized on Belletti's deflected shot to slot past Ross Turnbull.

The home side were out of the game until the end of the half as Mido was totally isolated without any midfield support.

Things got worse for Middlesbrough after the interval, and Chelsea were quick to double their advantage on 51 minutes through a powerful Belletti shot from 30 yards out.

Two minutes later Kalou added his second courtesy of a deflected effort after Malouda's right flank pass found the Ivorian unmarked.

Lampard crowned his performance with a goal after Kalou's brilliant chip set him up for a free header in the Middlesbrough box.

Chelsea kept on piling the pressure and on 65 minutes Shawky was replaced by Didier Digard.

But the substitution didn’t pay off as Malouda scored Chelsea's fourth from a rebound after Turnbull failed to deal with Nicola Anelka's shot from the edge of the box.

The loss leaves Middlesbrough 12th in the table with nine points, while Chelsea secure their position at the top with 20.
