Keita picked up a thigh injury in Barcelona's 1-0 win over Athletic Bilbao on Saturday, and scans indicated that he needs time off.

"I have hurt myself and will be out for around three to four weeks maximum," the Malian international told skysports.com.

The former Sevilla player pointed out that the injury could not have come at a worse time.

"It is sad, to get into this team is difficult because there are so many great players, however, I will work hard to get into this fantastic team.

"I am confident I will be playing more games during the season even if the competition between the quality players is there," he added.
