The Blaugrana thrashed their hosts 5-0, but Guardiola insisted that his happiness is derived from the performance rather than the result.

"I think we should focus more on the way we won rather than the big result," Guardiola said after the game.

"I want to highlight the performance because we were able to move the ball around perfectly and that gives me great confidence."

Guardiola handed young striker Bojan Krkic his first start of the season, and the youngster didn’t disappoint by scoring twice.

"Bojan played very well from the start, and he worked very well in the centre of the pitch.

"I have to say that I am delighted for him and not just because of the goals. He deserves it because he is a great lad," added the young coach.
