Reports suggested that fierce competition within the Ahli squad might force Hosni to look for regular football somewhere else when his contract runs out next June.

"I made my decision to stay once coach Manuel Jose urged me to renew my contract," Hosni told FilGoal.com on Saturday.

Despite interest from a number of clubs to sign Hosni, the 26-year-old stressed that his first choice will always be staying with The Red Devils.

"I've reached an agreement with the board to sign the new contract right after the African Champions League final."
