FC Cologne forward Roda Antar hit out at Jens Lehmann, who allegedly kicked the Lebanese player in the calf during the team's 3-1 win over VFB Stuttgart on Saturday.

The 39-year-old keeper appeared in some television pictures as though he was trying to kick Antar in the shin, but the referee apparently didn't notice the incident.

"It was completely unnecessary action from a keeper like Lehman, what he did was just stupid," Antar told German newspaper Bild.

Antar assured that the veteran guardian underhandedly back-heeled him and got away with it.

"This is not exactly a good example to set for the youths."

The German Football Federation (DFB) announced that a disciplinary action could be taken against the veteran goalie if the latter's assault was substantiated.

The DFB officials are going to watch the match video before deciding whether to look into this matter much further or not.

It's worth noting that Lehmann moved to VFB Stuttgart after spending five seasons with Premier League side Arsenal, which represent the pinnacle of his career.

His last appearance on the international stage was in EURO 2008 final when Germany lost to Spain 1-0.
