Earlier reports speculated that Hamza, whose contract with Zamalek runs out by the end of the current season has already signed for Ahli.

"No one from Ahli even approached Hamza," Al-Qaeyi told FilGoal.com on Thursday.

"The player is on of Zamalek's top stars, and I don’t think he will leave The Whites."

Al-Qaeyi stressed that if any contact was made with Hamza over a potential move to Ahli, it could have been through one of the club's fans rather than a board official.

The 26-year-old is one Zamalek player who always caught Ahli's eyes, as he scored seven times against the Red Devils in various Cairo derbies.
