Thierry Henry refuted reports claming that he's on the verge of leaving Barcelona to return to the Premier League.

The French ace was tipped to join either Chelsea or Manchester City during the January transfer window, but he assured he's going nowhere.

"I am very clear about this and I am happy here, I do not see myself playing in England," the 31-year-old told Catalan television.

The international hitman has spent the majority of his glory days with Arsenal before sealing a move to the Spanish giants.

During a year and a half with the Catalonians, Henry couldn’t leave his mark on the Primera Liga, and now he's looking forward to claiming the league and Copa del Rey titles.

"I could maybe do some great things in England, but I have not won anything with Barca and I have to stay," he explained.

"It is not that I really want the Champions League, it is because I want to win the league and Copa del Rey.

"When I put on the Barcelona shirt before going out on to the pitch it is an incredible moment. Last year it was not so incredible, but it was an honor to play."

On a personal level, the Gunners all-time top scorer assured he's well-settled in Barcelona.

"I am happy, yes. I have said so many times. I like the city, the food and the climate."

Team Spirit

The Frenchman assured that Barca have a spectacular abundance of high-profile players, who are capable of ending the club's two-year title drought.

He also referred that lack of team spirit was behind Barcelona's lackluster performances last season.

"I do not want it to sound like an excuse, but we have showed this season that if we play like a team then we can win trophies," he continued.

"Having the best players in the world does not guarantee you anything."

Henry also dished out praise for his teammate Samuel Eto'o, saying he's the best striker in the globe.

"We do have to recognize though, that we have some of the best players in the world and the best striker in the world in Samuel," he added

Henry added he wouldn't be able to change his role from the wing to the midfield after spending a long time with the two-time European champions on the flank, saying the Cameroonian player is more competent in the center.

"He is a much better central striker than me and we are fortunate that he stayed," Henry conceded modestly.
