Petrojet boardroom has reached agreements with several key players over extending their contracts, so as potential suitors would have to open talks with the petroleum side rather than behind the board's back.

The team head coach Mokhtar Mokhtar voiced his satisfaction over the club's approach, assuring he has been relieved ahead of the winter transfer window.

"I have avoided a terrible headache before January. Now we can concentrate on our campaign without any distraction," Mokhtar told FilGoal.com.

The former Ahli star revealed that some Egyptian powerhouses were illegitimately luring his lads.

However, the Egyptian League leaders put an end to the alleged negotiations by either raising players' wages or renewing their contracts.

Ahmed Shaaban, Mohamed Al-Fakahani, Mahmoud Abdel Hamid, Hesham Nubi have all settled for the latter.

Petrojet had an unfortunate experience with underhand deals when Zeeka Goory moved to Emirate Side Al-Wasl in utter secrecy last September.

The Ivorian striker departed after activating a minimum fee release clause of $ 200,000 in his contract.

"All the players have settled down. Zeeka Goory saga will never be repeated again," Mokhtar added.
