Ismaili are interested in signing Feyenoord’s Sherif Ekrami when the transfer window reopens in January, the Egyptian keeper revealed on Saturday.

“I’ve received an official offer to join Ismaili, but I’m yet to decide whether to accept it or not,” he told FilGoal.com.

“I’m waiting for some European offers as well, including ones from Germany and Spain.”

The former Ahli youth was loaned out to Turkey’s Ankaragucu from Dutch side Feyenoord in the close season.

However, Ekrami left Ankara few months later due to financial disagreements with the club.

But he is not ready to return to Feyenoord though.

“I don’t want to head back to Feyenoord and be a benchwarmer,” the 25-year-old said.

“I just want to join a club where I can play on a regular basis to regain my place in Egypt’s squad.”

Ismaili seem to be a suitable destination for Ekrami. The Egyptian coastal club have leaked many goals this season due to goalkeeping errors.

Mohamed Sobhi has been Ismaili’s first-choice goalie for more than seven years but he never really impressed between the sticks.

He was often criticized for lack of consistency as well as committing dreadful errors in high-profile games.
