Middlesbrough striker Ahmed Hossam 'Mido' stressed that he will remain at the club, rubbishing rumors that he might be on his way out of the Riverside.

Earlier reports suggested that the former Tottenham man is nearing a move to Wigan Athletic, whom other Egypt striker Amr Zaki plays for. However, Mido confirmed that he's going nowhere.

"One of the reasons that made me join Middlesbrough is that they have plans and dreams they want to achieve, and I hope to be a part of these dreams," Mido was quoted as saying by The Mirror.

Since joining the club in 2007, Mido is yet to guarantee a first team spot in Middlesbrough's attack, as consistent injuries and competition with other strikers hindered his progress.
