Wigan Athletic manager Steve Bruce said that the club migtht not be able to permanently sign Amr Zaki if the Egyptian's price keeps going up.

Zaki, is currently on a one-year loan contract at Wigan from Zamalek, and the deal gives the Latics an advantage of signing the 25-year-old ahead of other clubs, upon agreeing a fee with the Whites.

However, Bruce says that if Zaki keeps up his brilliant performances, his price will be too high for Wigan to make the move permanent.

"Of course I hope Amr continues to be here after this season," said the former Birmingham City boss.

"But if it goes to £10m and we can't do it, then we can't do it. The price changes every week."

In addition to single handedly winning some games for Wigan, Zaki is the club's top scorer in the Premiership with eight goals so far in the season.
