Drogba claims he's in the dark about the Inter talks

Reports in the Italian media suggest that upon hearing Inter Milan's interest in signing Chelsea striker Didier Drogba, the Blues have set a price tag over the Ivorian's head.

Following the departure of coach Jose Mourinho from Chelsea last season, Drogba has stated his frustration with life at Stamford Bridge after the Portuguese tactician.

The 30-year-old striker also lost his first team place this season, after French hitman Nicolas Anelka took full advantage of Drogba's injury earlier in the season by scoring 12 league goals.

With Mourinho coaching Inter in Serie A, media speculated that the 45-year-old tactician wants to reunite with the former Marseille striker in Italy.

According to Sportsmediaset, Drogba and his agent met Inter director Marco Branca this week, and the Chelsea board have set a an asking price of £34m plus Brazilian forward Adriano to complete the move.

In his turn, The Brazilian's future at Inter has been far from secure, after his partying lifestyle angered Mourinho and forced him to exclude the 26-year-old from the team on more than one occasion.

When asked about the ongoing negotiations, Drogba refused to say anything regarding the matter, adding that he is still a Chelsea player.

"I don't have anything to say," Drogba told skysports.com.

"I have always said I have a contract with Chelsea until 2010, no comment about the supposed meeting."

Drogba joined Chelsea from Marseille in 2004, and since then has scored 80 goals for the club in all competitions since then.
