"Petrojet's officials inquired about our demands to sell Nagib," The Mahalla-based club president Mahmoud Al-Shami told FilGoal.com.
The 23-year-old player has recently drawn the attention of several clubs, including title contenders Ismaili.
He has shown a great deal of versatility during his matches with the second division side.
"Our final decision will be made when I arrive in Egypt," the chairman, who went on a pilgrimage to Mecca, added.
He also has to decide whether to stay on as Baladeya president or not.
Al-Shami was elected as a board member in the Egyptian football association (EFA) last week, which might contradict with his duties as a club chairman.
Major Disadvantage
Although they had a splendid run in the Egyptian League, Mokhtar Mokhtar's men are having serious rearguard problems.
Assistant coach Mahmoud Saleh stated beforehand that he's unsatisfied with the recurring defensive blunders, saying that his team need a sweeper to bolster the backline.
He also hit out at Ayman Ramadan, whose form notably plummeted in this season.
Baladeya's Nagib came across as a competent sweeper, which might help the Egyptian League leaders maintain their supremacy should they aquire his services.
Petrojet are topping the Egyptian League table with 28 points, four ahead of second-placed ENPPI.
