The former Zamalek man was on the verge of joining Konyaspor after signing a preliminary agreement with the club.

But he opted not to proceed with the deal due to 'Konyaspor's failure to fulfill their financial obligations towards him', according to a source close to the player.

"Al-Tabie chose to join Bursaspor because they are better than Konya as they lie ahead of them in the Turkish League table," the source told FilGoal.com.

"Bursaspor's offer was also much better than Konyaspor's."

The 32-year-old, a former Egyptian international, has been without a club since being released by Zamalek last summer.
