Ahli midfielder Hossam Ashour said that his team have learnt the hard way from losing 4-2 to Pachuca in the Club World Cup on Saturday.
The Cairo giants gave up a two-goal lead in the first half against the Mexicans, to conceded four goals and miss out on a place in the competition's semi-finals.
"It was a tough experience against Pachuca, but we learned from it," Ashour was quoted as saying by Ahli's official website.
"It was a shocking defeat for us, but now we are all determined to come good out of it by beating Adelaide United on Thursday."
"The spirit is getting better among the team, and the Adelaide game will be different."
Ahli will be competing with the Australian outfit for a fifth place when the two teams clash on Thursday.
