Bayern Munich legend Oliver Kahn said that the club's current number one goalie Michael Rensing needs to adopt a more aggressive approach.

Kahn, who retired by the end of last season after 14 years between the Bayern posts, is convinced that Rensing is a good keeper but still needs to gain more experience.

"Rensing needs more confidence so he can show what he's really capable of," Kahn was quoted as saying by Bild.

"He needs to be more aggressive in order to control his box and make opponents fear him like they used to fear me."

Rensing was recently blamed for Bayern's 2-2 draw with Stuttgart by Bayern icon Franz Beckenbauer.

It is reported that the 24-year-guardian asked the Bayern administration to restore goalkeeping coach Sepp Meier after the latter departed when Jurgen Klinsmann took over the team.

Klinsmann and Meier don’t enjoy the best of relations after their dispute on who should have been Germany's number one, when the pair worked together in the Mannschaft's technical staff.
