Ahli playmaker Mohamed Abou-Treika refused to comment on reporters' suggestions that he is nearing a move to Saudi club Al-Hilal.

Al-Hilal have earlier announced on their official website that they agreed a deal with Ahli to bring Abou-Treika to the Saudi League next January.

"No comment. I'm only here to talk about the game," Abou-Treika said in a press conference after the Adelaide game.

Ahli suffered their second loss in two Club World Cup games at the hands of Adelaide United on Thursday, to finish the competition in sixth place.

"We did our best but we weren’t lucky enough to win the game."

Abou-Treika was taken off at the game's half-time as coach Manuel Jose tried to enhance the team's attacking efficiency by bringing on Hussein Yasser.
