Sudanese champions Hilal withdrew from this season's Arab Champions League competition just three days from their first round second leg clash against ES Setif of Algeria.

Hilal's decision comes after the Arab Football Federation's rejected the club's proposal to postpone the second leg.

The Sudanese league season has just finished and Hilal officials were hoping they would secure more time to regroup before the return clash.

The Omduran club wrapped up an unsuccessful season after they failed to defend their domestic league and cup titles.

Stef ended Hilal's unbeaten run of 114 home games by winning the first leg on December 18th.
