Portuguese coach Artur Jorge and Swiss Michel Decastel entered Zamalek frame as the club completed their list of candidates for the vacant managerial seat.

FilGoal.com earlier learned that Zamalek opened talks with French boss Jacques Santini over the possibility of him taking over at the Cairo giants.

Another Frenchman, Rene Girard, the former France U-21 manager, is also a Zamalek target.

And now the White Knights added two more names to their wish-list, Jorge and Decastel, FilGoal.com sources understand.

Jorge is a respected manager who has a plenty of experience in European, African and Asian football.

He won with Portuguese giants Porto the European Championship in 1987 and led Paris Saint-Germain to the French League title in 1992.

He also had spells with Cameroon national team and Saudi duo Nasr and Hilal.

Decastel coached numerous clubs in the Arab region, including Tunisian trio Sfaxien, Esperance and Etoile Sahel.

Obstacle

Zamalek chairman Mohamed Amer revealed the obstacle his side face to appoint a foreign manager.

"Some of the coaches we talked with are afraid to come to this region amid the ongoing fight in Gaza strip," he told Egyptian Satellite Channel (ESC) late on Thursday.

Israeli air force has launched dozens of air raids on the Hamas-ruled Gaza strip since Saturday.
