"Yassine is training with the club after he left Lierse in October," Petrojet's football supervisor Mounir Hassan told FilGoal.com on Sunday.

"He is a good player. We may sign him in the January transfer window."

If Yassine completes his move to Petrojet, he would likely play second-fiddle to in-form left-back Osama Mohamed.

The 20-year-old, son of former Ahli star Rabie Yassine, came through the African champions' youth ranks.

He made his senior debut with minnows Tersana, where he spent one season before moving to Belgium's SK Lierse.

Eventually, he joined Turnhout on loan, but he decided to end his Belgian adventure after failing to win a regular spot.
