Ahli coach Manuel Jose will never set foot in Ismailia again, according to his former translator and friend Ahmed Abdou.

The Red Devils clinched a 1-0 win at Ismaili last Saturday in the Egyptian Premier League, but the Portuguese tactician was revolted by a series of unpleasant events.

The match was distinctly ill-tempered, as the home side's spectators kept on hurling chairs, fireworks and other missiles throughout the game.

"Jose was astonished to see such chaos," Abdou told Dream T.V. "He had to leave the stadium by a Police vehicle."

Although the match's final whistle was blown around 20:00, Jose arrived in Cairo at the break of dawn.

"He assured me that he's not going to visit the coastal governorate under any circumstances, even when his team travel there for official fixtures," said Abdou.

Abdou, who worked as Jose's translator for more than two years, revealed that Jose will announce this decision to the mass media in the not-too-distant future.
