Sevilla striker Frederic Kanoute expressed his support to the Palestinian people while celebrating his goal against Deportivo in the Spanish Cup on Wednesday.
In the game where Sevilla won 2-1, the Malian international celebrated his strike by lifting his shirt and revealing another with the word Palestine written in a number of languages.
The 31-year-old was booked for the incident, and might well be facing further reactions from the Spanish Football Association for interfering politics with football.
Kanoute, who's a devout Muslim, has a number of charity activities in both Spain and Africa.
It is worth mentioning that Ahli and Egypt star was cautioned during the 2008 African Cup of Nations after similarly showing support with Palestine in a game against Sudan.
