In a press conference yesterday, the twins announced that they will be working on a sports television show, which will be aired on the newly established Shababeek TV.
The twins assured that they want to produce decent and objective media content unlike most of the ‘subjective’ shows currently programmed on a number of satellite channels.
The Hassan brothers confirmed that they won’t abandon football, as they are very pleased with their Masri experience, and will be looking forward to repeating it in the near future.
No regrets
Meanwhile, Ibrahim Hassan said that he doesn’t regret what he did in Algeria, which led to his eventual sacking and suspension.
Hossam was sent off for protesting during the North African Cup Winners Cup semi-final against JSM Bejaia in Algeria.
However, it was Ibrahim who caused further havoc after the same game when he spat at the referee, assaulted the fourth official and made improper gestures towards the home crowd.
“I don’t regret what I did. Actually, I’m proud of what I did and I’d do it all again,” said Ibrahim.
“It was my duty to protect Egypt’s dignity after what happened to us in Algeria and I’m not going to apologise for that.”
