The German outfit have received an offer from the Premier League side, who are planning to land the 24-year-old this winter.

German media reports mentioned that the worth of City's bid is around £ 14 million.

"City have had contact with us, they have expressed an interest and have submitted an offer," Hamburg's sports chief Dietmar Beiersdorfer said.

Overtures Confirmed

De Jong confirmed City's overtures, all the same, he's yet to make up his mind before the transfer window closes in a fortnight.
