Ittihad's talks with Ghanaian playmaker Awuley Quaye 'Junior' to sign him in the January transfer window have stalled due to financial differences.

Junior was close to signing for the Alexandria-based club after passing a medical on Saturday.

"The gap between Ittihad's offer and Junior's demands is wide," the former Zamalek's man agent Mounir Hassan told FilGoal.com on Sunday.

It remains to be seen whether Ittihad would be able to meet Junior's financial requirements.

Ittihad are seeking to reinforce their squad before the closure of the transfer window in order to improve their league position. They currently lie eighth in the 16-team table.

The club have recently signed two strikers in Ismaili's Amr Samir and Gaish's Hassan Mousa.
