Ahli midfielder Ahmed Hassan confirmed that a number of Gulf Cooperation Countries’ (GCC) clubs are interested in acquiring his services.

The Egypt skipper, who joined Ahli after his contract with Anderlecht expired in the summer, reportedly received an offer to play for Wehda in the Saudi League.

"Wehda’s approach was not the only offer I received. I also had an offer from an Emirate club and another to play in the Qatari League," Hassan told FilGoal.com.

"But I stress that I have no desire to leave Ahli."

The 34-year-old confirmed that in case he moves away from Ahli, he’ll only do this with the club’s full consent.

"I have a clause in my contract allowing me to leave for a certain fee, but I will never use such clause unless Ahli approves my transfer."

Good relation

Hassan also refuted rumours that he’s having any spats with Ahli’s Portuguese coach Manuel Jose.

"I have no problems whatsoever with Jose. Maybe sometimes I get frustrated about not playing regularly but there’s nothing more than that."

Gaza support

The former Besiktas man urged all Egyptian fans to attend the Pharaohs’ upcoming friendly against Kenya, where the game’s revenues will be donated to the Gaza cause.

"We are playing this game to show solidarity with Palestine and Gaza. I hope we have a good crowd showing up, not only to support us but to support Gaza."
