Manchester City playmaker Robinho said that abandoning the team’s Spanish training camp has nothing to do with City’s failure to capture AC Milan’s Kaka.

City’s website has earlier announced that Robinho suddenly left the Mallorca camp, But the Brazilian international replied by saying he had urgent matters to take care of.

“I had to leave the camp due to some personal and family problems which I informed club officials about,” the 25-year-old revealed on his official website.

“I want to confirm that the breakdown of Kaka’s transfer has nothing to do with it. I’ll be heading back to the camp to sort out the issue as soon as possible.”

Kaka earlier shunned City’s ludicrous offer of £500,000 a week, opting to stay with the Rossoneri.

“Of course I was hoping Kaka could join us, but I can’t influence his decision to leave or stay at Milan,” added the former Real Madrid man.
