The 'best has come' for Decastel

Zamalek-target Stephane Mpondo sustained an injury after just 15 minutes of a practice game on Wednesday.

The Cameroonian defensive midfielder, who is on a trial at the Cairo club, suffered a groin problem early on.

The match was organized by newly-appointed coach Michel Decastel, and witnessed the presence of several players from the youth team.

If impressed, Mpondo would sign for Zamalek this winter, but his trial might be extended for a short while till he recovers.

The 23-year-old's compatriot Ize Kwala, who is also eyed by the White Knights, took part in the game as well.

Midfielder Mohamed Abdullah picked up a knock above his left eyebrow, and thus couldn't finish the match.

Newly-signed defender Omar Rabie Yassine participated in the game and was deployed as a left-back.
