Inter have reached the semi-final of Coppa Italia after beating AS Roma 2-1 at San Siro on Wednesday.

Brazilian striker Adriano opened the score line for Inter early in the first half, before substitute keeper denied Roma from equalizing on two occasions through Simone Perrotta and Matteo Brighi.

In the second half, Roma levelled the score on 61 minutes thanks to a powerful strike from Rodrigo Taddei.

Two minutes later, Zlatan Ibrahimovic restored Inter’s lead to put Jose Mourinho’s men in the competition’s last four round.

Elsewhere, Sampdoria made it to the semis after beating Udinese 4-1 on penalties following a 1-1 draw at Stadio Friuli.

Giampaolo Pazzini scored first for Samp on 55 minutes and Antonio Di Natale was on target to equalize for Udinese minutes later.

Di Natale wasted an opportunity to win the game for Udinese after missing an 89th minute penalty kick.

The rest of the Coppa Italia quarter-finals will be taking place on Thursday and February 4th, where Lazio will meet Torino and Napoli will clash with Juventus respectively.
