Zamalek forward Gamal Hamza denied that he was having problems with the club's board after skipping Thursday's training session.

The 27-year-old was not present in training, fueling speculation that he fell out with Zamalek board after being deducted money.

"I did not attend today's training because I was sick. I took permission from Zamalek doctor Mostafa Al-Monayeri," Hamza told FilGoal.com.

The Cairo giants have decided to impose sanctions on the underachieving players after a string of poor results.

Ghana striker Junior Agogo, who did not live up to expectations after joining Zamalek from Nottingham Forest in the close season, was deducted $50,000.

His future at the five-time African champions hangs by a thread as he missed training for the third successive day without excuse.

Zamalek's poor run of results see them lie sixth in the Egyptian Premier League table with 21 points, 11 behind leaders and arch-rivals Ahli, who still have a game in hand.
