Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon said that he’d leave the Old Lady if he receives a grand offer like Manchester City’s recent bid to lure AC Milan’s Kaka.

"I am a man of football. I know you have to do your sums and I know teams are also businesses. Therefore, if a fantasy football bid came in I would be ready to go," Buffon told La Gazetta dello Sport.

"I would also do it to relieve a justifiable embarrassment from a club like Juventus, to whom I owe so much."

City offered Milan 110 million Euros for Kaka, and the Premiership club reportedly tempted the player himself with a weekly salary of £500,000.

However, the Brazilian playmaker eventually rejected a move away from Milan, stating that his love for the Rossoneri is more important than money.

Buffon added that he doubts if Milan were ever willing to sell the former world player of the year.

"It was a bit of theatre rather than a choice. Clubs like Juventus, Milan and Inter, if they want to do a deal they don’t publicise it before concluding it."

The Italy number one, who has been struggling with injury over the last three months is set to make his Juve comeback against Fiorentina later on Saturday.
