Blackburn Rovers are ready to offer £1.5 million for ENPPI winger Ahmed Al-Muhammadi, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Egyptian international recently told FilGoal.com that a Blackburn representative arrived in Cairo to hold talks with ENPPI over signing him.

The Premiership club are hoping to wrap up the deal before the closure of the January transfer window.

Although ENPPI said they knew nothing about Blackburn’s interest, it seems the one-time English champions are close to landing Al-Muhammadi.

Should the 21-year-old, who underwent a trial at Blackburn in November, complete the move, he will be the fourth Egyptian to play in the Premiership this season.

Amr Zaki and Mido play for Wigan Athletic while Mohamed Shawky plies his trade with Middlesbrough.
