Egyptian FA board member Mahmoud Al-Shami conceived that the Federation made a mistake in allowing Zeka Goory to play for ENPPI.

The Ivorian, who was purchased by ENPPI during the current transfer window, played for Petrojet earlier in the season before dumping the club to join Wasl in Emirates.

FIFA regulations state that no player is allowed to play for more than two clubs within the same season, and that’s why Goory’s participation against Petrojet in the cup semi-final is illegal.

“Goory illegally took part in the cup game, and Petrojet have the right to ask for a replay,” Al-Shami said on Al-Hayat TV.

The Egyptian FA already decided to suspend the player until the end of the season.

From his side, FA board member Magdi Abdul-Ghani said that Goory’s agent is the one at fault, as the latter knew the player couldn’t play for three clubs in one season.

However, head of FA competitions committee Nayef Ezzat confirmed that ENPPI shouldn’t be blamed for their act.

“The Association’s regulations change all the time, and whoever allowed the player’s registration made a big mistake,” said Ezzat.
