“Ricardo will travel to Brazil within a week in order to sign for Vasco,” agent Osama Metri told FilGoal.com.

Metri added that the fact that the January transfer window is officially over won’t be an obstacle in his client’s way to join Vasco Da Gama.

“I’ve taken the all clear from FIFA that Ricardo can sign for any club at anytime.”

“FIFA will favour the player’s interest, especially that he (Ricardo) is yet to receive the 25% worth of his financial rights, which was due in December,” added Metri.

Since moving to Zamalek in the summer, Ricardo’s spell with the White Knights has been marred by successive suspensions and inconsistent displays.

The 27-year-old had a famous on the pitch spat with striker Gamal Hamza, and was recently subjected to investigation for skipping Zamalek’s trainings without permission.

“My client told me that any ties he had with Zamalek are cut now,” added Metri.
