The 25-year-old moved to Chelsea on loan until the end of the season after failing to put in convincing displays with Italian giants Inter.

"I am going to work very hard, I am going to give my best, I am going to prove that I deserve to be in this team and that I am the right player to help Chelsea achieve their goals."

Competition

Quaresma believes competition with wingers Salomon Kalou and Florent Malouda will be to Chelsea's benefit.

In the absence of injured winger Joe Cole, Kalou and Malouda took up the reins of the Blues' flanks.

"It is always great to have great players in the team and to have this kind of competition because this really makes you work hard."
